DR Sley, a talented singer, songwriter, and performer from Cameroon, boasts over two decades of experience in the music industry. With numerous songs written and sold to artists and organizations worldwide, he has been considered a fitting successor to Reggae King Lucky Dube. As a reggae artist, DR Sley has released timeless singles, impactful albums, and embarked on global tours.
During a return flight to Cameroon, DR Sley experienced a profound spiritual encounter. He shared, “I had a 6-hour, 25-minute conversation with the Holy Spirit. The call and instructions were loud and clear, and I accepted the mission to sing for the glory of my master, Jesus Christ, the son of David.” This divine calling was further confirmed when Apostle John Chi instructed DR Sley to prepare an album. Under the guidance of God’s servant, DR Sley recorded 20 songs in just six months, experiencing a transformation in both his vocals and lyrics for the glory of Yeshua Hamashiach of Nazareth.
Born Kingsley Tingwei Ngu in Buea, a city in the Fako, South West Region of Cameroon, DR Sley discovered music as a powerful means of self-expression. His friends and fans dubbed him “Doctor” due to his soul-stirring and revolutionary songs. His music advocates for the oppressed and uplifts communities and generations through the profound truths in his lyrics.
In 2015, DR Sley released his debut album, “Welcome to Hope,” and formed a band called “The Green Souljas.” They performed on various national stages and toured internationally. On February 3rd, 2022, he released his second studio album, “Light up the Throne,” and has since garnered numerous international awards and accolades. Recently, DR Sley transitioned to gospel music and joined Ziv Music Studio Productions.
